We are looking to expand our surveying team and are seeking both
Qualified Asbestos Surveyors
and
Trainee Asbestos Surveyors
to join our
UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy
, delivering asbestos surveying services to a wide range of public and private sector clients.
This role is suited to individuals with
existing site, surveying, or technical experience
who are looking to develop or progress a long-term career within asbestos consultancy. Trainee Surveyors will follow a structured development and mentoring pathway, while qualified surveyors will join an established, professional team delivering compliant asbestos surveys across a varied property portfolio.
The Role
Carrying out asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 (Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition surveys)
Accurately recording site findings and sample locations
Taking asbestos bulk samples for laboratory analysis
Producing clear, compliant survey reports
Liaising with clients, site contacts, and internal teams
Working in line with company procedures, UKAS requirements, and health & safety standards
Essential Requirements (Qualified Surveyors)
BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience carrying out asbestos surveys
Good knowledge of HSG264 and asbestos legislation
Strong attention to detail and report-writing skills
Full UK driving licence
Trainee Asbestos Surveyor - Training & Development
Trainee applications will be considered from candidates who
already have relevant site-based, construction, surveying, or technical experience
and can demonstrate a professional, safety-conscious approach to work.
Structured training includes:
Supervised asbestos surveying alongside experienced surveyors
Training in asbestos legislation, HSG264, and survey methodologies
Practical sampling techniques and site safety procedures
Training on survey software and reporting systems
Ongoing mentoring and performance reviews
Professional Qualification & Funding:
The
BOHS P402 qualification will be fully funded by the company
following successful completion of an initial probationary period
Study support and development time provided
Please note: this trainee role is not suitable for candidates without prior site-based or technical experience and must have a clean driving licence. And over 22 years old.

Full-time and part-time positions available
Standard working hours:
08:30 - 17:00
Flexibility available depending on workload and site requirements
Salary
26,000 per annum (Trainee)
30,000 - 38,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
Pro rata for part-time roles
