Skilled Rake Hands

- confident in laying, spreading, and levelling asphalt to specification

Skilled Roller Men

- experienced in operating rollers to achieve smooth, high-quality finishes

General Asphalt Operatives

- with experience in hand-laying, labouring, and working as part of a surfacing gang

Job description

Carry out all aspects of asphalt surfacing and reinstatement work. Operate plant and machinery (such as rollers) safely and effectively. Rake, spread, and level asphalt materials to the correct thickness and finish. Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications. Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of workmanship. Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental procedures. Assist in general duties on site when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in asphalt surfacing (minimum 2 years preferred) Full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential) CSCS card (preferred) Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team
