Are you a creative graduate with genuine aspirations to become an Art Therapist or work within the therapeutic/mental health sector? This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive educational setting.
We are seeking an Aspiring Art Therapist to join a school as a Teaching Assistant, working closely with children with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Using creativity, art, and therapeutic approaches to engage learners
• Helping to raise attainment, confidence, and emotional regulation
• Supporting pupils to develop positive aspirations and self-belief
• Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff

The Ideal Candidate:

• A creative graduate (Art, Psychology, Creative Therapies or similar)
• Genuine ambition to pursue a career in art therapy or child mental health
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient
• Passionate about raising attainment and aspirations for vulnerable children
• Experience with SEN, PDA, or SEMH is desirable but not essential

This role offers invaluable experience for those looking to progress into Art Therapy, Educational Psychology, Mental Health, or SEN professions.
