A vacancy has arisen for Assembler 1, 1st Shift - PU Foam Department.
Fibrelite Composites designs, manufactures, tests and provides components and products to protect the environment and the consumer.
Physical Work Requirements:

• Standing/ sitting 8-10 hours
• Bending
• Reaching
• Pushing/pulling
• Squatting
• Must be able to use adhesives, lubricants, etc.
• Small hand tools usage
• Lifting 50 lbs./23 KG frequently
• Work in manufacturing environment, including non-air condition
• Work at height - mezzanine

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating PU Foam meter machine, working with chemicals.
• Using trimming equipment to finish products.
• Using of hand held tools and power tools.
• Ensuring targets are being completed on time.
• Assisting Manager with all duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Tracking material, tools and inventory needed for the department.
• Actively supporting foam department's team in daily tasks.
• Maintaining safe conditions at all the times and ensuring safe work practices are followed at all the times.
• Implementing all the company's procedures and policies.
• Communicating any problems or obstacles to Manager immediately.
• Notifying management team on any delays and outages.
• Responsibilities including implementing and sustaining manufacturing technologies that continuously improve operational excellence.
• Ensuring that all equipment used in the department is properly maintained and operational at all the times.
• Adhering to all required company policies including safety polices at all times, including wearing all required PPE.
• Attending all required trainings and meetings including 0Dover meetings.
• Actively participating in all department projects, tasks and objectives.
• Meeting and maintaining daily production rates and goals as established and required by the company.
• Working with chemicals.
• Assisting with tool changing and IBCs changing.
• Working at heigh when on mezzanine.

Candidate Experience and Qualifications

• Experience in team work preferred.
• Forklift / pedestrian truck operating is beneficial (training can be provided).
• Ability to operate all equipment and tools used in the department incl. mixing machine, trimming equipment, etc. (trainings can be provided)
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to use all required tools and equipment in an assigned work area.
• Must be able to use forklift/ pedestrian pallet truck if required.
• Good level of numeracy skill and comfortable dealing with figures.
• Ability to effectively problem-solve, in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective time management, planning and organizational skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
