Job Description

We are a long-established UK manufacturer of heat sealing machinery, recently expanding into a new site in Fareham. With a proud history of British engineering and a drive to modernise and grow, we are looking for a skilled Assembly Engineer to join our team.

The Role
As an Assembly Engineer, you will be hands-on in building, assembling, and testing our range of specialist heat sealing machines. You'll work with precision engineering components, electrical systems, and pneumatic assemblies to produce high-quality equipment for customers across industries including food, medical, and packaging.

Responsibilities

Mechanical and electrical assembly of heat sealing machines Reading and interpreting technical drawings and assembly instructions Wiring, fitting, and testing components Working to tight tolerances with high attention to detail Ensuring machines are built to ISO quality standards Supporting continuous improvement in design and production processes Assisting with servicing and repairs when required
About You

Background in mechanical/electrical assembly or engineering Able to read technical drawings and schematics Experience with small component assembly, wiring, or pneumatics (preferred) Hands-on, practical approach with strong problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship Flexible and able to adapt in a growing business environment
