Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Assembly operative to join our workshop team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in assembling fabricated products & components using both hand and power tools. This role is essential in ensuring that all fittings are completed accurately and efficiently within our workshop environment. Our products are designed and manufactured for the Material Handling Sector.

Responsibilities

Assemble various components and fittings according to specifications and engineering drawings. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks. Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and address any assembly issues. Assist in the inventory management of parts and materials within the workshop and stores. Opportunity to expand skill and experience with on site fitter work with product installation works also. (Optional)

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to assembly tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to troubleshoot assembly issues as they arise.

Pay: 13.00-15.50 per hour
