Job Description


KPI are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assembly Operative to join our esteemed organization on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in product development and ensuring efficient production processes. While some experience in a similar role is preferred, we provide training to suitable candidates. This position involves building prototypes, testing, data collection, equipment maintenance, and maintaining a well-organized workspace.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build prototypes and conduct testing, including soldering, assembling mechanical parts, and using test equipment for industry standard passives, IC\'s, and processors with a pitch of 0.5mm.
  • Collect and analyze data from long-term experiments and tests.
  • Understand product specifications and assembly instructions.
  • Perform repairs on PCBs from the production line.
  • Assist in building and installing production equipment.
  • Conduct maintenance on production equipment to ensure its optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
  • Order components to keep R&D stock well-maintained.
  • Utilize PC skills, including Microsoft Word for report writing with images, Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets, and Outlook for communication with the team, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating proactive initiative and problem-solving skills.
Work from Monday to Thursday, with standard working hours from 07:00 to 17:00.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience in a similar assembly or production role is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • Proficiency in soldering, mechanical assembly, and using test equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electronic components, including passives, IC\'s, and processors.
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy workspace and efficiently manage tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
Pay range: \xc2\xa310.50 to \xc2\xa311.35 per hour
