Assembler/Manufacturing Technician/Machine Operator

Pitstone, Tring, Hertfordshire

33,225 per annum + 14.5% Shift allowance

Shift Pattern

Week 1:

Monday to Thursday: 6.00am to 2.00pm

Friday: 6.00am to 11.00am

Week 2:

Monday to Thursday: 2.00pm to 10.00pm

Friday: 11.00am to 4.00pm

This shift pattern attracts a 14.5% shift premium on basic salary above.

If you have experience in quality inspection or manual and/or CNC machining we would be interested in speaking with you.

In this role you will utilise the latest technology to repair, assemble, build and maintain aircraft generators and motors, in addition to learning how to balance rotor assemblies.

The Role:

Setting and Operating Machines to set programs

Following Engineering drawings and work instructions to assemble products

Operate machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures

Strip, survey and fitting experience for generators and motors

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to work area and processes.

Desirable Experience

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have experience in fitting, repairs, assembly and/or test from any relevant industries we'd love to hear from you. We ask that you are able to lift weighs of up to 25kgs, and have some technical abilities to learn our products.

The UK Safran Electrical & Power team has expertise in designing and developing electrical systems comprising generators, power conversion, distribution and control, with developing expertise in electric motors for aircraft propulsion.
