Astra Signs is one of the UK's leading sign makers, established in Manchester in 1984, we have a wealth of experience in producing world class signage for a wide variety of sectors - particularly hospitality, travel & transportation, retail, leisure and international events.

The main responsibilities will include support of the pre-build process for all forms of traditional signage/ Digital. In addition, you will work proactively within the assembly team.

As part of this responsibility, you will be required to ensure all Health and Safety aspects are in place prior to any works commencement and highlight any issues or training requirements. You will work with the Assembly Supervisor & Production Manager to make sure work is to the building process.

Main Role Responsibilities

Assembly Signage Products

Ensure task specific Risk and Method Statements are followed Manage MIS System- ensure you are logging on and off all jobs. Understand and execute tasks based on provided risk and method statements. Actively be part of the assembly team. Ensure Quality Control systems are inline and fulfilled with ISO/ company policies. Signing off of quality on signage going through the assembly department with the assembly supervisor. Upload Quality photos and documentation to the folders on clarity/Google drive. Ensure works to the schedule set out. All corresponding components to each project to be documented and signed out to the Production Manager/ Installation Manager/ Head Fitter. Any modifications to the artwork to be fed back to the Production Manager to ensure the As-Builts are updated. Ensure materials arrive timely with the Procurement team and Goods in/out to ensure delivery of scheduled output. Preparation of Signage Display Mounting Signage onto Structures as specified. Recording of Product Information into centrally stored documents Safe operation of access equipment/ tools Ensure correct re-assembly when out on site (where required) Support department leadership when the Assembly Team Leader is unavailable. Ensure control of all materials/ Artwork/ Quality documents within the department

Stock and Inventory Management

Work with the Warehouse and Logistics department to ensure adequate stock of to enable build. Support the Warehouse operation in the recording of stock levels and reporting weekly on current status.

Health and Safety

Complete all machine associated RAMs and follow any provided. Wear the relevant PPE as dictated by the Team Leader Ensure safety guidelines are being met to ensure a safe work environment. Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures correctly. Proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Liaise directly with external engineers to solve any issues with the machines and organize engineer visits to rectify problems.

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
