Join our Planning team in Cheltenham, as an
Assembly Planner
, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our production lines meet customer demand efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the Assembly Team Leader, you'll be responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing assembly production plans, supporting new product introductions, and driving continuous improvement across planning processes.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on...
Creating and managing production plans for designated assembly lines.
Reviewing and acting on MRP messages with thorough supply and demand analysis.
Managing sales order releases to balance customer needs with production capabilities.
Monitoring inventory levels and recommending adjustments to optimize stock.
Ensuring timely delivery of products by managing lead times and resolving component shortages.
Collaborating closely with production teams to meet deadlines and resolve planning issues.
Maintaining and updating key reports such as the Orderbook and Demand Resource Simulator (DRS).
Supporting cross-functional requests including quotes, samples, modifications, and order updates.
Contributing to new product introductions and improvement initiatives.
Providing detailed quotes for large orders based on planning logic.
Offering cover and support for team members as needed.
Your previous experience is likely to include....
Planning experience within a production environment.
Proficiency with MRP tools and processes.
Strong mathematical ability and analytical thinking.
High-level skills in MS Excel and PowerBI.
Experience with IT-based planning systems such as JD Edwards Enterprise One.
