Assembly Team Leader
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled fitting shop leader to join our dynamic team. The candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and able to lead a team of fitters in our assembly shop.
This role involves the organisation of a team of men within our assembly shop as well as being a hands-on member of the team.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet operational goals.
Lead a team of production workers, providing training and support as needed.
Ensure all assembly tasks are performed accurately and efficiently using hand tools and power tools.
Monitor production processes for quality control, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Collaborate with management to feedback on productivity
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues that may arise during the assembly process.
Conduct regular inspections of the assembly cells to ensure safety protocols are followed.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment, experience in a lead role. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 13.50-15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
