Job Description

We are looking for an Assembly Technician to join our fantastic team on a full time basis at our site in Link Park, Motherwell. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of skilled professionals to build high quality, bespoke solutions for our clients and work with market leading products.

Key responsibilities for this role includes:

Responsibilities

On time manufacture/fulfilment of Assembly Service projects. Ensuring high quality work complies with Swagelok policies and procedures, as well as any other certification requirements. Management and control of inventory for projects and Assembly Service orders. Working closely with the Proposal Engineer and Technical Engineers on ensuring any changes required to technical drawings are captured to ensure all technical documentation matches the built product. To liaise whenever necessary with the Assembly Services Manager to ensure a proper level of customer service and customer advice is maintained. Inspection of incoming goods and third party products/services. Must demonstrate personal values that are aligned with Swagelok Company Values.

Essential Experience

Educated to NVQ/BTEC/HNC/HND level or equivalent in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline or previous experience. Previous experience of fitting mechanical equipment. Experienced mechanical engineer/instrument/pipefitter. Knowledge of pipework, valves, pumps or pressure systems. Ability to work from technical engineering drawings. Knowledge of engineering standard project planning tools. A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft software.

Preferred Experience

Fork lift driver's license. Lift equipment certified. Working in a lean manufacturing environment. Experience in mounting instrument and control equipment on panels or within enclosures.
