Assembly Technicians & Field Service Maintenance Engineers
Job Description
Ovec Systems Ltd, a market leader in the design and manufacturing of Automated Quality Assurance Equipment require additional engineering staff to join its growing Coatbridge facility.
The successful candidate(s) role will be split between in house assembly work and international field service and installation work.
This is not a production line position. It is a genuine opportunity for a hard working, methodical individual who demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn new skills to join a long established, successful small company.
Depending on skill set demonstrated, successful candidates, will be hands on involved with the manufacturing, mechanical and electrical assembly of our bespoke systems throughout the many stages of production, including but exlusively:
1) Metal work -
- Aluminium preparation prior to powder coating.
- Metal finishing work, cleaning, polishing etc.
2) Mechanical Assembly
- Bespoke frame assembly using Aluminium Extrusion;
- Pneumatic and Electrical Panel assembly
- Pump Installation
3) Low Level Electrical wiring
- Wire preperation
- Point to point cable routing
4) Set Up, Inspection and Testing of all equipment prior to shipping.
As this is a hands on practical role good
manual dexterity
along with ability to use a number of hand and power tools is essential.Candidates must be PC Literate with a professional & flexible outlook.
A working knowledge of Automation, Pneumatics, PLC's, Vacuum and Leak Detection are desirable for this role, however not essential.
Successful candidates starting salary will be based on level of experience brought to the role.
Additional travel incentives for Field Service and Installation engineers including pay supplements in the form of an overnight allowance.
As this role will involve international field service and installation work a driver's license and passport would be required. For Visa purposes a clean criminal record is also required.
