We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented

Assessment Officer

to manage and coordinate the assessment processes for our academic programmes. This is a key administrative role within the team, ensuring the smooth planning, delivery, and monitoring of assessments, as well as compliance with University policies and procedures.


The position is set to commence ASAP and will be full-time for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of 18.43 per hour + holiday pay


Key Responsibilities:



Assessment Planning & Coordination



Prepare and distribute assessment materials and timetables Manage the approval and formatting of assessment questions Organise and service examination boards Develop and maintain clear assessment procedures

Systems & Platform Management



Maintain assessment content on Canvas Oversee online submission systems and marker registration/payment platforms (EAP)

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement



Liaise with programme teams, external/internal examiners, the Medical Sciences Division, and the Proctors' Office Respond to queries and advise on policies using assessment expertise

Selection Criteria:



Educated to A-Level standard or with equivalent administrative qualifications/experience Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confident engaging with a range of stakeholders Excellent IT skills, including familiarity with databases, Excel, and digital learning platforms Ability to work under pressure, both independently and collaboratively in a team Flexible, proactive, and responsive to shifting priorities
