We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in evaluating and educating individuals on their skills and competencies within specific fields. Apprenticeship Delivery
The WBL (Work Based Learning) Assessor in Residential Childcare will require the following experience:
Deliver the standard
Residential Childcare
Level 3 Diploma (Essential) and CYPFP LEVEL 4 apprenticeship standard
Delivered apprenticeship standards
Have a designated FS tutor to support assessor and learner
Motivate and support learners through their apprenticeship, providing training and feedback throughout and where necessary
Ensure learners are continuously updating their off-the-job training records
Effective management of workload and diaries to ensure efficiency in learner visits
Support and develop learners' knowledge and understanding of the program ready for EPA- End point assessment
Duties
Conduct assessments to evaluate the skills, knowledge, and competencies of individuals.
Develop and implement assessment plans tailored to individual needs.
Provide constructive feedback to candidates, highlighting areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
Educate candidates on assessment processes, expectations, and outcomes.
Maintain accurate records of assessments and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance assessment practices and share best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in assessment methodologies.
Requirements
The WBL (Work Based Learning) Assessor in Residential Childcare will require the following roof of prior learning:
Possess an
Assessors
award such as the TAQA A1, CAVA (3-5 years' experience as an assessor)
Possess L3 Diploma in residential childcare
Good standard of English
Occupational competence working in the
Residential Childcare
sector (worked in childcare setting)
Experience delivering
Residential
and CYFP apprenticeships from Level 3 to 5 if possible
Possess a teaching qualification such as CET/DET,
Full UK driving license with access to own vehicle
Proven experience in assessment or a related educational role is preferred.
Strong ability to educate individuals effectively, adapting communication styles as necessary.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates.
