We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of Managers at the 422nd Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force (RAF) Croughton, United Kingdom.

What will be your primary role?



The primary purpose of this position is to exercise first level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Asset Accountability Element in the Civil Engineer Squadron, responsible for the oversight of real property assets, financial management, force management, and information technology. You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of Asset Accountability Element, ensuring that the Asset Accountability function complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. You will exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities, advising and providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. You will represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations and communicate and coordinate Asset Accountability Element issues with higher headquarters, regulatory agencies, other installation units, and other local officials, etc. In addition. you will direct the development and execution of the Asset Accountability Element budget, and preparation of Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS) documentation in support of element planning.

What are the Key Skills required for this role?



1. Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary principles, practices, procedures, and goals of real property, financial management, force management, and information technology functions, practices, and procedures.

2. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; common business and economic principles, theories, concepts, and procedures; financial management principles and standards; and of the DoD Planning, Programming, and Budgeting (PPBS).

3. Knowledge of personnel management, EEO, safety, and security regulations, practices, and procedures.

4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.

5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior officials from a broad array of activities, including federal and local government, and industry.

What are the conditions of employment for this role?



1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.

2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.

3. This position may also be coded as mission essential.

4. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.

5. Hours of work: 37.5 hours weekly. Fixed schedule: Mon-Fri 0800-1600. Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible working policies.

6. Overtime may be required, and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.

7. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

8. You must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.

9. The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, UK valid driver's license (category B) is required for the position.

11. The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing; however, positions covered by this document may be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.
