Join us as Asset Advisory Lead in Energy Transition and you\'ll take a lead role in the oversight and delivery of asset advisory assignments for Lenders Technical Advisory and Due Diligence services across range of conventional and renewable generation assets.

You will:

  • Provide leadership, governance, growth of the overarching asset advisory team.
  • Take a lead role in Asset Advisory assignments.
  • Materially contribute to the production of technical reviews for new and operational power plant, looking at the Operations, Maintenance and Management of the plant throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Review contracts and agreements from a Technical and Commercial Perspective together with the associated Business Management Systems.
  • Prepare high quality reports that clearly and concisely communicate the issues/risks associated with projects, from the due diligence phase, through construction, and into operation.
  • Undertake site visits (UK and internationally) to conduct meetings and view first-hand the status of projects.
  • Ensure assignments have due consideration of any applicable Health, Safety, Environmental or Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Develop proposals that meet client\xe2\x80\x99s needs and differentiate WSP from the competition.
  • Lead/participate in meetings with project Lenders and Sponsors.
  • Bid for new opportunities and contributing to marketing material.
THE TEAM

The UK Energy Transition team provide services to Clients from inception through development, construction, operation, and decommissioning. An approach that sees us support our clients over the entire lifecycle of a project.

Our team\xe2\x80\x99s expertise covers all Energy Transition generation and conversion technologies and includes novel, first of a kind concepts and other low or zero carbon technology. Working together with private developers, power utilities, government bodies, banks, lending agencies, contractors and OEM\xe2\x80\x99s we safely deliver projects whilst meeting and exceeding client expectations.

Our teams are strategically placed in Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Guildford and Belgrade to support operations in the UK, Ireland and Europe. We also work internationally with our clients and other Energy sector teams in North America, Middle East, Africa, South America, Asia, New Zealand and Australia. We\'d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience in conventional thermal and/or renewable generation projects.
  • The ability to decipher and interpret technical issues and quantify them to financiers.
  • Provide interpretation and insight to complex technical and commercial contracts.
  • The ability to produce exceptional-quality reporting, with no fear of Excel.
  • A Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 or Masters\xe2\x80\x99 degree in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Chartered Engineer
  • Demonstrable experience and familiarity of operations, maintenance and engineering of conventional and renewable power generation assets
  • Have substantial experience in key contracts applicable to the construction, operations and maintenance of large and small power plants of different designs configurations and fuel types. including
