We are seeking a skilled Asset Data and Visualisation Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working on large portfolios that deliver risk management, investment planning and strategic planning projects for utilities clients. Day to day you will be analysing, interpreting and visualising large data sets including geographical data for future asset planning purposes innovatively and engagingly to maximise benefits for clients. You will be required to develop approaches to present results from the Asset Risk Optimisation Suite (AROS) decision support software in ways that meet varying client user needs.
The role requires an understanding of asset investment planning including the economic basis for decisions. The role also includes development of new techniques and approaches to maximise the beneficial use of asset data and present and visualise decision support system outputs.
Requires an understanding of client requirements to develop customer specified solutions.
Required Technical Skills:
Relevant GIS qualification at RQF Level 7 (Masters)
Highly proficient in using BI and visualisation tools including PowerBi, Tableau, GIS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, working with large and incomplete data sets, identifying and implementing approaches to maximise their use
Able to use data management systemsAble to use decision making software (AROS or equivalent) and interpret optimisation outputs
Understanding of the regulatory environments within the utilities industries including economic principles
Required Experience:
Understanding client needs and developing client facing databases and visualisations using BI tools including PowerBi, Tableau, GIS
Experience presenting the outputs from decision making and optimisation software (AROS or equivalent) in ways to maximise understanding
Asset Investment planning background, understanding the economic basis for decision making, and practical considerations within the industry
1 year working within the UK Utilities industry
