The asset Integrity Management team is a sub-set of Risktec division who are focused on the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Placement Student to join our Asset Integrity Management team in Derby. This placement will offer a rich learning environment and the chance to experience the professional application of managing third party assets through the implementation of engineering principles and techniques.

Responsibilities
Support the Asset Integrity Management team in delivering high-quality consultancy services within the Conventional Power and Clean Energy sectors.
Participate in the analysis of inspection and report data.
Gather data and information from a wide variety of sources, including but not limited non-destructive testing (NDT) reports, temperature assessment reports, materials analysis reports, FEA reports, technical drawings etc.
Produce formal technical reports and other project deliverables within agreed timescales.
Collaborate with team members to support in the implementation of bespoke solutions to client challenges.
Undertake field assignments at power stations throughout the UK with experienced professionals to gain practical insights and apply classroom knowledge where appropriate.
Gain exposure to international standards and regulations related to power industry.

Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical / materials or related fields.
Completed at least two years of undergraduate study with a good academic standing.
A hands-on approach with willingness to get involved with projects when required.
A basic understanding of engineering principles, and material properties.
Understanding of failure mechanism, and inspection techniques (desirable)
A basic understanding of how a power station works (desirable)
A general interest in the energy sector.
Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
Proactive and self-motivated with an eagerness to learn, alongside a problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.

Additional Information
Some travel to client sites may be required hence driving licence would be preferred.
