The Asset Management Financial Crime Advisory Manager (UK) is a management role with day-to-day responsibility for coordinating activities to support the implementation of the group financial crime risk management framework within the UK Asset Management business.
Financial crime responsibilities:Request local UK Asset Management 2LOD local exemptions, waivers and dispensations from Group Financial Crime Policies and Standards, develop mitigation plans, and maintain records.
Manage escalations from UK Asset Management 1LoD for exemptions, waivers and dispensations for Group Financial Crime Policies and Standards.
Produce UK Asset Management MLRO reports and other Senior Management reporting for UK 2LoD in line with Group Financial Crime Governance and Management Information Framework.
Support risk decisioning in Asset Management as per M&G PLC's Financial Crime Risk Appetite and Risk Decisioning Matrix as UK 2LoD.
Track completion of financial crime mandatory and role-specific training for the local UK Asset Management business.
Prepare REP-CRIM and other regulatory reports for applicable Asset Management legal entities in the UK.
Disseminate group financial crime training to the UK Asset Management business.
Communicate new UK regulatory change items to Asset Management 1LoD teams.
Provide advice and guidance to Asset Management 1LoD teams on Group Financial Crime Policies and Standards and relevant UK regulations.
Provide advice and guidance regarding the application processes for the registration of Asset Management entities as Annex I financial institutions.
Additional responsibilities:Implement actions for UK 2LoD arising from Assurance / Audit Findings relating to UK Asset Management.
Other tasks and activities within the scope of your role or team as required from time to time.
Skill requirements:Established experience within financial crime and being able to demonstrate deep understanding of the financial crime risks inherent in the asset management sector.
Strong knowledge of UK financial crime laws and regulations, including AML, Sanctions, ABC and fraud prevention, preferably including in the context of above-mentioned sectors.
Expert knowledge of UK financial crime laws and regulations relating to Sanctions, and preferably including in the context of above-mentioned sectors.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with senior stakeholders and communicate and explain risk decisions.
[Desirable] Relevant experience with engaging with UK regulatory authorities.
(Desirable) Relevant of supporting business activities involving real assets including real estate and infra
