Asset Management

South Cave, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are the region's largest group of public flood risk management authorities, formed from some of its longest-established local public bodies. Our work is vital in reducing flood risk for thousands of residents, businesses, and critical infrastructure. We collaborate closely with the Environment Agency, National Highways, the Mining Remediation Authority, and local councils.

As we prepare for the next government flood defence investment round, we seek an ambitious, technically skilled individual to help shape our capital works programme. The role includes developing technical evidence for business cases and working closely with funders, regulators, and partner organisations.

The successful candidate will also assist in managing a wide range of assets by using GIS mapping tools, live GPS data, and advanced geomatics software to support work programming, condition surveys, SCADA system management, and maintenance planning across an 800-mile network of rivers and watercourses, 83 pumping stations, major tidal outfalls, bridges, and other structures.

There will be opportunities for specialist training, including becoming a CAA accredited drone pilot to operate a large LiDAR-enabled unmanned survey aircraft.

We welcome applicants with a strong technical background from a professional engineering discipline, surveying, or construction management background. Qualifications at or above Level 4 are preferred, although candidates with exceptional relevant experience and ability will also be considered.
