Candidates should have 5 years' experience in property asset management (ideally in the rail sector), with knowledge of technical, safety, and performance standards for stations and depots, and proven ability to support engineering activities, including preparing and managing business cases. Candidates should possess a minimum Incorporated Engineer qualification required; ideally Chartered Engineer (Civil/Structural/M&E/Building Services) or Building Surveyor (BSc Hons). Candidates will be subject to a Right to Work check & DBS check for this position. Applicants must be aged 18 and over

The Role







We are seeking a proactive Asset Manager and Systems Support to join our team at Greater Anglia. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our station assets are effectively and safely managed in line with asset management governance, procedures, and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for applying asset policy, remitting works, and maintaining accurate station asset management plans, while supporting the Asset Systems Manager in delivering robust asset management processes. This position also involves ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and adhering to the ISO 55001 Asset Management System and Annual Certification requirements.




Key Responsibilities




Apply and support asset management policy and systems, including the development and maintenance of the Station Asset Management Plan and related business planning activities.



Monitor compliance and performance, ensuring maintenance, renewal, and enhancement works meet regulatory, business, and safety standards, while identifying trends and preventing asset failures.



Manage project delivery processes, including preparing Business Opportunity Statements (BOS), overseeing landlord's consent for third-party schemes, and ensuring quality handback and asset data updates.



Support asset stewardship and stakeholder engagement, including inspections of building fabric and services, liaising with Network Rail and third parties, and representing asset management at key meetings.



Provide operational support and cover, assisting the Asset System & Business Planning Manager, supporting the Safety Team, and acting as the point of contact for third-party schemes when required. #

Candidates should have knowledge of station maintenance, strategic asset management, safety management systems, and risk assessment techniques. Possess understanding of accessibility, inclusivity, heritage, and conservation standards and compliance.
