Job Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join a small but busy finance team for a firm of solicitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supervision of the accounts assistants, and supporting the Financial Controller. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in accounts management and contribute to the organisation's financial health. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and experience within the Legal sector.

Responsibilities



Maintain and update financial records using the firms case management and accounting software. Supervision of the client and office accounts to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data. Manage the posting and allocation of Legal Aid receipts. Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review

Requirements



Proven experience (at least four years) as a Bookkeeper or similar role within the legal sector. AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of financial management and financial accounting Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-34,000.00 per year
