Assistant Accountant (6 Month FTC)
Description:
Hunter Savage is excited to present a new opportunity with a long-standing client, who are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join the team in Belfast, that will report to the Financial Accountant.

• Salary: \xc2\xa325-30K + Bonus
• Hybrid: 3 days onsite
• Possibility of extension

The Role:

• Aid in the preparation of monthly management accounts, encompassing payroll and prepayment journals, as well as fixed asset closure.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations in various foreign currencies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Contribute to the creation of detailed monthly finance reports.
• Execute weekly tasks, including Cash Reporting, Cash Forecasting, and Bank reconciliations in diverse currencies.
• Manage the monthly VAT Returns process to meet regulatory requirements.
• Oversee stock reconciliations, actively participating in stock control and reporting activities.
• Support sales and margin reporting initiatives to enhance financial insights.
• Collaborate with foreign payroll bureaus, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

The Person:

• Holds third-level education or is IATI qualified.
• Currently working towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAI).
• 18 months of accounting experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the preparation of management accounts.
• Familiarity in either Accounts Payable (AP) or Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Exhibits a strong drive and enthusiasm for their work.
• Consistently delivers excellent customer service in professional interactions.
