Beckleberrys are a family owned small local business producing perfect patisserie and indulgent ice cream. Every product we sell is handmade by our talented team of chefs in Blaydon on Tyne.

You will be working as part of a small team, so it is essential that you have a positive attitude towards the working environment.

The candidate will provide pivotal support across many elements of the business at peak times The role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to join a small business that is growing continuously. This gives you the opportunity to progress up through the company and you will need to be comfortable working in a close-knit environment. All tasks are split equally amongst the team.

And Day to Day?

Purchase and sales ledger processes for all divisions of the business Ensuring an efficient and effective matching process for supplier and customer purchase orders, invoices and payments. Ensuring bank reconciliations are performed and that any reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner Answer and resolve supplier and customer account queries. Booking Transport with 3rd party delivery companies Entering stock production and allocating stock to orders on the computerised system Assist with managing other members of the team. Preparing hours for the payroll. Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
Desired skills

Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft packages and Sage Accounts. Ability and desire to work with both the routine (e.g., system posting, bank recs) as well as more challenging elements is essential and being able to be consistent in their approach. Eager to learn Experience in a finance role Ability to prioritise workloads and achieve tight deadlines under pressure Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills Understanding of accounting principles, gained through experience or qualifications Able to work effectively as part of a high-performing team Experience in managing staff

Accounting Qualification (AAT minimum) Minimum of 6 Years Accounts experience necessary
Salary Negotiable depending upon experience.
