Assistant Accountant

In order to further strengthen our team in United Kingdom we are currently looking for a:

Assistant Accountant

Your Mission

The mission of the Assistant Accountant is supporting the Financial Controller in their day-to-day duties and the wider finance team. To liaise with and support the Global Shared Service provider in meeting best in practice standards.

Key Accountabilities

Quality Performance

• Purchase order management, GRIR reconciliations and vendor management
• Management of MXP expense process, reconcile and validate employee submissions
• Support the internal audit process and policy management

Operations Control & Analysis

• Prepare and reconcile VAT returns and similar compliance requirements
• Compliance reviews and reporting
• Preparation of ONS returns
• Employee benefit tracking and analysis
• Reporting on company leases

Business Partnering

• Support the Financial Controller in their day-to-day duties
• Partner with Treasury and Plant Controller functions
• Support GSS transactional accuracy

Education and work experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial accounting department
• AAT qualified or studying toward
• Good written and verbal communication
• Knowledge of VAT, Excel and SAP an advantage
• Analytical, hands-on, initiative taking, result driven
