Staffline is delighted to be working with one of the country\'s leading merchants of their product - and we are looking for an accounts assistant / assistant accountant to join their office based in Crossgar. In this newly established position, the successful candidate will support the Group Financial Director in all aspects running this award-winning business.

The role will include...

• General accounting and reconciliation of Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledgers
• Assisting with product costing which involves foreign currency and differing excise duty rates
• Assisting with maintaining various sales price lists including external hospitality software
• Assisting with all aspects of stock control
• Preparation of UK & ROI VAT returns, Intrastat and EC Sales
• Ad-hoc duties as they arise to support the day to day running of the business, which includes aspects of HR, Marketing and IT

We\'re looking for someone with...

• 2+ years\' experience in a similar role within a commercial environment
• Excellent IT skills, including Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong team skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility, including a willingness to help out in other departments when needed
• The drive to seek continual improvement

We\'d especially love to hear from you if you have...

• Previous experience with Stock Management Systems, ERP Systems
• An existing accounting qualification, or desire to complete same e.g. CIMA, ACCA
• Education to degree level in an Accounting or Business related discipline
• More than 5 years experience in a relevant position

Core working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, through occasional weekend or evening work may be required.
