Flatfish Ltd are a medium sized FMCG business in North East Lincolnshire seeking an energetic and committed Assistant Accountant to join their Finance Team.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with prior experience of Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll and is looking for development in their career. A background in the Food Manufacturing Sector would be advantageous.

This will be a varied and exciting role within which you will:
enter purchase ledger invoices into the ERP system, match purchase invoices to purchase orders, prepare payment runs, resolve discrepancies, reconcile supplier accounts;
raise and process sales invoices via EDI, manage the EDI set up, allocate customer payments, resolve discrepancies; chase overdue payments, reconcile customer accounts;
collate, validate, and process the end to end payroll process on a weekly basis by extracting data from a time and attendance system through to posting of the weekly payroll journal within strict controls;
complete daily bank postings;
process monthly credit card statements;
be multi-skilled with other areas of the finance team to ensure we have cover for all roles;
support the Finance Team with the preparation of the weekly and monthly management accounts;

To be successful, you would have previously worked in Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Payroll (ideally all three areas) within the Finance Team of a food manufacturing business. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, be highly numerate and literate, possess Excellent Excel and IT skills, analytical mind, a "can do" attitude, progressive attitude to change and be confident to work with the wider business teams.
