Job Description
The Assistant Accountant will play a vital role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department by managing financial records and assisting with reporting requirements. This role in the retail industry requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Monitor and process invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
- Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.
A successful Assistant Accountant should have:
