Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support financial management activities, assist with accounting processes, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Responsibilities

Assist with daily financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable. Support the preparation of monthly financial reports in accordance with organisational policies. Utilise accounting software Xero and other relevant systems to maintain accurate financial records. Reconcile accounts receivables and ensure data accuracy across various financial platforms. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data. Support month-end and year-end closing procedures. Collaborate with senior team members on financial management tasks and projects. Assist in maintaining compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.

Skills

Must be either AAT qualified or CIMA or ACCA part qualified. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero and other financial management tools. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounts receivable processes and general ledger management. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively within teams. Ability to analyse financial data critically and produce clear reports. A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work undertaken.
