Job Overview

Are you a numbers-driven individual with a passion for finance? We're on the lookout for a Assistant Accountant to join our busy finance team, on a 9 month fixed term contract.

You will gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the finance function, including management accounting, financial reporting and budgeting. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive team while working towards your professional qualifications.

Duties:

Assisting with daily financial transactions, including invoicing and reconciliations. Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting processes. Helping to prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses. Working closely with different departments to understand the full financial picture of the business. Assisting with audits and compliance requirements. Learning and developing new skills as part of your professional growth.

Requirements

Part-qualified in a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a drive to progress further. OR at least one year of experience in an accountancy role or practice. Strong numerical and analytical skills. A keen eye for detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience is a plus, but training will be provided). A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
