Job Overview:
Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a high performing business situated in West Manchester. This role will report directly into the Management Accountant. This role will take full ownership of both ledgers whilst working on various projects for the business. The correct candidate will have experience in a finance role and want to progress into a role with more responsibility and challenges to broaden their skill set.

Location: West Manchester, Free parking

Main Duties:

• Assist on both Sales and Purchase Ledger end to end in a timely manner.
• Producing weekly payment runs, chasing approvals and effective monitoring of supplier payments to achieve cash and aged payable targets across all ledgers.
• Collating information for VAT returns and supporting the Management Accountant during the VAT process to ensure maximum recoverability.
• Managing staff credit cards including monthly reconciliations.
• Manage the Accounts inbox and resolve any customer or supplier queries in a timely manner
• Various project work including; Client Billing, Stock Management, Payroll, HR Personnel Records/Data.
• Ad-hoc tasks as instructed by the Management Accountant.

Person Specification:

• AAT Part Qualified/Qualified or Finance Degree
• Previous experience working in a busy finance position is essential
• Previous experience Sage 50cloud Accounts, although highly desirable, not essential.
• Experienced in processing all levels of financial transactions up to Monthly Management Accounts level.
• Good level of computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and (any - please name) accounting software (Sage preferred but not essential)
