Introduction:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Accountant to join a private healthcare organisation based in Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate financial operations of the service. Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and reconciliations. Process invoices, payments, and expense claims in line with internal procedures. Ensure compliance with financial policies, audit standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Confidence using accounting software and Excel. Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time-management skills. AAT Level 4 qualified or working towards (desirable but not essential). 2 Years Experience
