Background

The Research Finance team is part of the Finance Directorate, servicing the University's Research and Enterprise function in supporting the areas of research administration, commercialization of knowledge, consultancy, entrepreneurship training and knowledge transfer.



The main purpose of the role is to provide post award financial administration for a portfolio of research and enterprise projects in the University.


Responsibilities

Be business partners to budget holders in managing their project budgets. Timely collection of research income through invoicing, raising claims and funder reporting. Maintaining project files through out post award life cycle.


Person Specification


------------------------



Suitable candidates should have experience in post award research administration in Higher Education.



They should have a good working knowledge of MS excel for data analysis and summarisng with good numerical and analysical skills.



Should possess good communication and business partnering skills.



Working knowledge of an accountings system such as SAP and/or Oracle, Agresso will be advantageous
