About the Role
As our Assistant Accountant, you'll play a key role in our small but mighty finance team. You'll be responsible for:
Managing purchase ledger and ensuring timely supplier payments.
Completing bank reconciliations.
Supporting sales invoicing and payroll (training provided).
Assisting with month-end reporting, including accruals, prepayments, and VAT.
Providing financial insights to budget holders.
Supporting the Director of Finance and Resources and Management Accountant with ad-hoc tasks.
You'll be part of a supportive environment where learning and development are encouraged, and your work will directly contribute to improving the lives of unpaid carers.
What We're Looking For
Part-qualified or actively studying AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
Experience with purchase ledger, sales invoicing, and accounts to trial balance
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
A proactive, flexible team player with great communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, People Planner, or Salesforce is a bonus - but not essential
