About the Role

Stone Bakery is a state-of-the-art gluten-free production site, located in Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh, which produces flatbread (wraps, pita breads, and naan bread) products for BFree Foods Ltd.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will cover a range of responsibilities within the finance department. This role is based on site at the offices of Stone Bakery, in Crossmaglen.

Key Responsibilities

Managing all transactions within the finance department

Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently

Maintenance of both sales and purchase ledger

Assist with payroll processing

Responsible for collation, posting and reconciliation of month end stocks

Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts

Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow up issues

VAT submissions, Intrastat, TSS compliance and other government returns

Assist with cashflow management

Assist with the maintaining of the cost system on Sage

Monitor financial controls and implement changes where necessary

Work with external auditors at year end

Support Finance Manager, General Manager and wider management team in relation to accounts and reports they may need

Support accounts team and assist with ad hoc duties as required

Ability to work under pressure

Organised, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy

Confident to work independently as well as part of a team

Outstanding communication skills

Enthusiastic and self-motivated

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role Comfort with Microsoft Office * Sage Line 200 experience desirable
