Job Description

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team, where you'll play a key role in supporting financial operations, managing cashflow, working closely with our global distributor network and helping drive the continued success of Princess Yachts.

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:30, Friday 07:30 - 12:30

Location:

Newport Street, Plymouth (on-site)

Main purpose of role:



The main purpose of the role will be to support the Finance Team with credit control responsibilities, cashflow, customer invoice management, management accounts and month end tasks.

This is a key role within the finance function responsible maintaining processes used for driving financial compliance and reporting within the Company.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain and introduce, where necessary, procedures allowing for the timely collection of payments from distributors and escalate any overdue accounts. Prepare weekly / monthly cash collection reports to support with cash flow reporting. Presentation of cash receipts to exec team, working closely with the Sales and After Sales departments in regard to boat sales, invoicing, despatch dates and any specific terms. Support the finance function to collect and maintain export evidence for VAT purposes. Support the general finance function with month end reports, ad hoc information as required. Manage the various systems and processes, reviewing procedures and recommend improvements. Review credit limits and bad debt and process new distributor accounts. Support the commercial department with the introduction of the new OMS software and development of the CRM allowing distributors full visibility of future orders and key milestone dates triggering payments. Co-ordinate the processing of customer and distributor due diligence checks, including financial assessment of new distributors. Providing analytical data to support growth of the of commercial function. Support with ad-hoc finance or commercial projects. Acting as an Ambassador for Princess Yachts, operating with integrity and drive appropriate to the Company's values, to promote Princess as a market leader.

Person Specification:



AAT level 4 or equivalent experience Good IT skills with excellent Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, being able to confidently liaise with a network of distributors and internal exec team. VAT /GDPR & anti-money laundering regulations knowledge desirable. Efficient, organised, with the ability to prioritise work load. Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Show initiative and strive for continuous improvement. Ability to present data in meaningful presentations to assist with decision making.
