Assistant Accountant

Job Description
Cedar have partnered with a growing transport business based in West London who are looking for an ambitious and driven Assistant Accountant who is working towards their professional finance qualifications (ACCA/CIMA) to join their busy team.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for accounting of financial transactions and producing month-end reports.
- Preparing journals
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliation\'s including reconciliation of revenue, fixed assets and utilities
- Support wider finance function and make sure all processes are fit for purpose, looking to make improvements if necessary
- Assist with providing data for ad hoc reports
- Part qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Must be actively studying
- Good Microsoft Excel skills, comfortable with basic formulas and Pivot Tables
- Previous general ledger experience required
- Proficient analytical skills and high levels of attention to detail
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively with non-finance colleagues
