Overview



TSL Accounting was formed in 1987, and we are still growing. We require an additional person to help us with ongoing accounting and bookkeeping in our Minchinhampton office.

The successful candidate will be numerate, organised, with good people skills and will have more than 3 years real "hands-on" accounting experience. This role would ideally suit an experienced bookkeeper or accountant (formally qualified or QBE) who may already be used to working with several regular Clients, or someone who is looking for more variety than a "single client" working environment can offer.

Location:

This role is based in our Minchinhampton office, with some limited travel to local Client sites and occasionally to our other office.

Hours:

The role can be full or part time (with a minimum of 12 hours per week) on regular defined days, but actual hours can be arranged to suit.

Salary:

Depending on experience/hours. Range 27-36k FTE

Other:



BUPA after qualifying periods. Holiday entitlement: 22 days per annum pro rata, increasing by 1 day per year of service to a maximum of 25. Training provided in-house, and help with external qualifications where appropriate. TSL runs a separate payroll bureau, so payroll skills are not a specific requirement. Senior staff are on hand to provide technical and management support. Sound accounting theory and experience are essential, and the role will require real working knowledge of Sage, Xero and other popular accounting packages. Excel, Word and Outlook are used daily.

Some key responsibilities:



Production of regular ongoing monthly and quarterly accounts, including VAT and standard reconciliations, for multiple Clients, often using Sage, from the Client's original paperwork. Preparation of draft year end accounts and working files for review. Preparation of traditional accounts (i.e. incomplete records/ "box" jobs) Depending on experience, preparation of cashflows and forecasts and involvement in other ad hoc project work for Clients where appropriate. Regular communication with Clients - email, telephone, in-office or on their site.
