About Us:



Practical Roof Solutions specialize in commercial and industrial roofing and safety systems. We are looking for a highly organised and accurate individual with QuickBooks Online/ Xero, CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and payroll experience to join our team and work alongside the financial director. The role is full time, 5 days a week. We will consider candidates who are looking for less hours; 30 hours being the minimum. Ex: 30 hours a week will be 6 hours each day for 5 days a week. Starting rate is 17 - 20 per hour (35k to 41k per annum, paid on hourly basis) depending on qualification and experience. We will consider a well qualified candidate looking for a temporary/ fixed term role.

Responsibilities:



- Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

- Quarterly VAT return

- Dealing with customer / supplier account queries via phone and email

- Credit checking / financial checks

- Send pro-forma. Track job and send invoices for stage payments

- Track cost and send materials invoices

- Subcontractor verification

- HMRC filing

- CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) filing

- Assist with payroll- Prepare financial reports and statements- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts- Support the month-end and year-end close processes- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records- Assist with audits and tax filings- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Skills:

- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero online accounting software. We use QuickBooks so you will have to learn this quickly. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry- CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) Experience- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
