Haywards Solicitors are looking for a full time / part time Assistant Accounts Manager within a busy Stowmarket firm of solicitors.
An aptitude for figures and attention to detail is crucial. An understanding of accounts processes and Solicitors Account Rules would be an advantage.
We are seeking someone who can display a willingness to learn all aspects of our accounts system.
Day to day the role will involve:
Working within the Solicitors Accounts Rules and have a full working knowledge of the accounts computer system.
to input, update and validate on a daily basis the following: receipts, payments, transfers, bills, database, journals and complete associated filing.
to compile and maintain a computerised Deeds, Wills and Archive files database system
to process on a daily basis all banking receipts and payments
to take and make phone calls appropriate to the accounts department
to process payments requests, ensuring that sufficient funds are available
bank reconciliation
monitor outstanding bills and send out reminders to clients
check new file opening and print file labels
to carry out any other associated duties which may from time to time be reasonably required
to assist the Accounts Manager
The ideal candidate will be precise and have great attention to detail.
Full time Salary 24,500 - 26,000 per annum dependent on experience
Full time Holiday 22 days per annum + bank holidays
