From recommending rating structure updates to refining modelling capabilities, your insights will directly influence business outcomes.

What's the job?

You'll collaborate with business stakeholders to discuss actuarial findings and reach balanced decisions that support both production and profitability.

You'll perform profitability analysis across various business segments to identify areas requiring attention.

You'll continuously expand your technical knowledge of modelling techniques to refine and enhance actuarial processes.

You'll maintain up-to-date understanding of Actuarial Guidelines and Standards, ensuring rating inputs are implemented accordingly.

You'll ensure quoting systems are accurate and aligned with the agreed rating plan.

You'll support company planning processes by providing appropriate loss inputs.

You'll work closely with Claims, Finance, Underwriting, Reserving Actuaries, and data teams to ensure pricing and monitoring data is complete, accurate, and timely.

You'll participate in internal management meetings and external broker/client meetings as needed.

You'll comply with regulatory and risk management procedures, as well as company standards.

You'll conduct peer reviews for junior actuarial staff and provide support across the business to meet key deadlines.

What are we looking for?

You'll hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics or Actuarial Science along with significant experience in actuarial roles. You'll be a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or a local Actuarial Governing body. You'll have experience in Travel Insurance, with a strong focus on pricing. You'll demonstrate proficiency in actuarial concepts and methodologies, with a solid understanding of general insurance practices and local legislation. You'll have a proven ability to communicate effectively and influence senior business stakeholders. You'll be proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with VBA, R, Python, or other programming languages. You'll be capable of working independently, managing tight deadlines, and balancing multiple projects. You'll bring a problem-solving mindset and an inquisitive approach to your work.
