We're looking for a hands-on, adaptable Operations & Assistant Manager to join the growing phase of an exciting design and interior e-commerce brand. This is a dynamic, multifaceted role for someone who thrives in a creative startup environment - where no two days are the same and where your contribution genuinely shapes the journey ahead.
You'll work closely with the founder, assisting across day-to-day operations, supplier coordination, and customer support, while also getting involved in events, sourcing trips, and general admin tasks that keep everything running smoothly.
This is an in-person role with hybrid flexibility, ideal for someone based in or near Chelmsford, Essex, who's eager to grow with a design-driven business. Having said that, you will travel with our founder to London for work and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general administrative and operational support
Manage inbox enquiries and customer communication (email & social media)
Assist with sourcing products and liaising with suppliers
Coordinate logistics, deliveries, and product pickups
Support with ad-hoc tasks during launches, photoshoots, and events
Handle occasional errands and hands-on duties related to business operations
What We're Looking For
Based in or very close to
Chelmsford, Essex
Full UK driving licence
(own car preferred)
Valid
visa for UK and EU travel
(occasional supplier and exhibition trips)
Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable with strong attention to detail
Self-starter with a flexible, problem-solving mindset
Interest in
interiors, design, and creative events
