We are seeking a proactive and reliable Assistant Branch Manager to support the daily operations of our branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills to join a growing family business.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Supporting the Branch Manager in all areas of branch operations
Managing staff to ensure high levels of customer service
Monitoring and chasing overdue credit accounts
Operating the Pick Pack System and ensuring accurate cash collection
Maintaining correct stock levels according to Sales out
Overseeing branch administration, including invoicing, credit notes, and deliveries
Ensuring delivery discrepancies are reported and resolved within 24 hours
Upholding a clean, professional branch image
Promoting compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations
Managing holiday cover and training needs within the branch
Supporting implementation of new systems and procedures
Acting as Branch Manager in their absence, including completing weekly reports and securing the premises
Supporting the Sales Team with pricing and general enquiries
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be highly organised and detail-oriented
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Be confident in leading a team and managing branch operations
Be committed to continuous improvement for themselves and others
Work well under pressure and take initiative when required
Preferred experience and knowledge
Knowledge of Coatings - either car, commercial vehicle or light industrial
Organising or managing van runs and daily deliveries
Managing stock levels and completing stock takes
