Loddon Brewery is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-focused Assistant Brewer to support our passionate brewing team. This is a practical, physically demanding role ideal for someone who wants to be involved in every aspect of the brewing process, from cellar operations to packaging and quality control.

You'll work closely with our Head Brewer, ensuring our beers meet the highest standards while also contributing to creative projects and representing the brewery at events when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Cellar Operations: Monitoring fermentation, dry hopping, transferring beers, and quality control.

Packaging: Filling kegs, mini kegs, and casks

Cleaning & Maintenance: Operating CIP (clean-in-place) procedures on tanks and brewhouse vessels

Record-Keeping: Tracking gravities, temperatures, and other key brewing metrics

Quality Control: Following set procedures to maintain product quality from raw material to final packaging

Documentation: Inputting data and logs using brewery software (e.g. BrewMan)

Brewery Events: Assisting at events, tap takeovers, or festivals when required

General Duties: Maintaining site cleanliness and assisting with stock management

About You:

Prior experience in a commercial brewery (6-12 months preferred)

Solid understanding of sanitation, fermentation, and brewing fundamentals

Physically fit -- able to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., 25kg+ malt sacks, casks)

Positive, proactive, and able to work independently under pressure

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards

Reliable and punctual with excellent time management

Passionate about craft beer and committed to continuous improvement

Forklift licence is a bonus, but not essential
