This is a pivotal role supporting the Bursar, responsible for overseeing the Estates, Grounds, Cleaning and Transport functions, and ensuring that the School operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards.




Key Responsibilities




Line manages the Estates, Cleaning and Transport teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and service excellence. Oversee maintenance, refurbishment, health & safety compliance, and building projects across the School estate. Manage procurement processes, contractor performance, and capital projects. Lead on risk assessments and compliance monitoring using Smartlog. Play a strategic role in sustainability and regulatory readiness (ISI/ISSR/NMS).



The Ideal Candidate Will Have:




Proven experience in facilities, estates or property management. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance standards. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Budget management experience and a full UK driving licence.



Desirable:




Experience in the education sector. Relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, PRINCE2). Understanding of Independent Schools' regulatory frameworks.



Salary & Benefits:




In the region of 45,000 - 50,000 per annum. School day for pupils is 8.30am until 5pm with support teams starting from 6am daily Monday to Friday. The working pattern for this role will be mutually agreed on appointment.
