We are partnering with a forward-thinking and innovative manufacturing business to recruit an
Assistant Buyer
to join their busy Procurement Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in purchasing and supply chain. You'll work under experienced leadership, gain hands-on exposure to modern procurement systems, and play a key part in supporting sourcing, supplier relationships, and day-to-day operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring value for money and timely delivery
Maintain accurate purchase order and requisition records across internal systems
Update and manage supplier stock sheets to support production planning
Liaise across departments to provide updates on pricing, delivery schedules, and stock availability
Assist with invoice matching and resolving queries to support timely supplier payments
Support procurement reporting through data analysis and order tracking
Provide general administrative support to the Procurement Team and assist with wider projects

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Someone with a positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the business
Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Graduate (or equivalent), GCSEs, A Levels (or equivalent)
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Previous experience in an administrative, procurement or supply chain role is beneficial but not essential
