About the role



Are you ready to take the next step in your procurement career? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Assistant Buyer

to join our dynamic Procurement team at Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects and support strategic procurement initiatives across our infrastructure business.

What you'll be doing



Conducting tenders and sourcing suppliers/subcontractors Analysing data and producing regular reports Ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures Supporting supply chain strategies and procurement schedules Managing supplier performance and stakeholder relationships Identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating discounts Driving utilisation of group agreements across the business


Who we're looking for



Strong organisational and negotiation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) A self-starter with excellent attention to detail Customer-focused with a problem-solving mindset Proven ability to build productive relationships and exceed targets

Desirable:




A relevant business degree or equivalent experience Experience using Oracle R12 Experience using Jaggaer procurement software Familiarity with Microsoft Lists
