THE OUTNET are now seeking an Assistant Buyer to join their team on a temporary basis. Some of the essentials for you to know are:

Location: London Westfield, Shepherd's Bush
Reporting into: Buyer
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (4 days in office)
Contract type: 12-month FTC

Here is a breakdown of what you'll be doing:Support the Buying team to achieve Sales and OTB targets. Drive Trade performance: Identify and analyse best sellers and underperforming lines. Present findings to Buy Team at weekly trading meeting to minimise risks and maximise opportunities. Feedback actions to internal teams where appropriate. Maintenance & management of OTB planning documents, work in conjunction with Buying Assistant and Buyer to pro-actively forecast and manage intake flow into business to hit intake plans, drive sales and minimise risks. Support and deputise buyer in writing buys: selection, product grading and pricing to drive FPRP strategy. Market prep; Update vendor packs for buying trips, confirm appointments, liaise with Merchandising to collate required information for each vendor meeting. Constant site monitoring to ensure products are presented to meet the business needs & brand standards. Order Administration; analysing stock packages, writing, reviewing, checking confirmations and revising accordingly. Order Uploading. Manage the vendor terms directory and new supplier set up in conjunction with back office team. Proactive product sourcing in conjunction with Buy Team & relevant recommendations on Target Acquisition. Communicate Buy Strategy to wider business- support in the creation of Buy Alert documents to best showcase aesthetic and outline financials. General admin, correcting pricing inaccuracies, pulling ad hoc sales information, support back office and merchandising team with any invoice & delivery queries. Regular competitor analysis and feedback to team.

The type of person we are looking for:Significant commercial experienced gained in a fashion retail merchandising environment (ideally luxury, multi-brand). Off-price experience not necessary but must demonstrate an enthusiasm and interest in off-price. Passion for product and trends. Keen eye for new opportunities. Numerate with strong analytical mind and computer literacy. Advanced Excel knowledge is essential. Commercial Awareness - working to develop full understanding of the nature of our business, products and competitive market in order to drive the best performance. Team player - build relationships with other internal and external teams and functions for personal and business development. Strong eye for detail and organisational skills and strives for a high level of accuracy. Proactive and able to work with stringent deadlines. Excellent work ethic and ability to multi-task. Professional with excellent communication skills.
