We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our procurement team. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in buying and supply chain management, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the success of Fine Group.
Key Responsibilities
Support with sourcing, selecting, and purchasing materials that align with company strategy.
o Assist in negotiating prices, contracts, and terms with suppliers to ensure best value.
o Monitor stock levels and liaise with suppliers to maintain availability.
o Analyse sales and market trends to inform purchasing decisions.
o Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and supplier communications.
o Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Sales, finance, logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
o Contribute to supplier relationship management and performance reviews.
o Provide administrative support including purchase order processing and reporting.
Experience & Skills
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
o Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
o Previous experience in a buying or procurement role (desirable but not essential)
